About

Working with Jenna

I am a licensed clinical social worker who utilizes evidence-based treatments to work effectively with adults, teens, and couples. I am intensively trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) through Behavioral Tech, and currently works on comprehensive DBT team. I completed training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), prolonged exposure for PTSD (DBT-PE), and family based treatment (FBT) and enhanced cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT-E) for eating disorders. My areas of focus are eating disorders, mood disorders, emotion dysregulation, self-injurious behaviors, relationship difficulties, challenging life transitions, and substance abuse. I emphasize a collaborative, empathic relationship to help clients build a life worth living. I use an authentic approach to create a safe and supportive environment that builds understanding into challenges that you are facing, facilitates healing and transformation, and helps you work on acceptance of what we cannot change. I have worked in varied clinical settings including at a comprehensive DBT treatment program, a residential program for young adults, an intensive outpatient program for substance use disorders and Walter Reed Military Medical Center, where I worked with veterans with PTSD and traumatic brain injuries. I received her MSW and BA from the University of Michigan and completed my clinical internship at the Michigan Medicine Department of Psychiatry. I am licensed to practice in Virginia and the District of Columbia. Weintraub Therapy PLLC does not accept insurance. You are sent monthly Superbills which you can use to submit to your insurance provider to seek reimbursement. Please check with your health insurance provider for the details of your out-of-network mental health coverage.
